Utah is my home, and besides a year in California, I have spent my life living within this beautiful mountain range. I started painting 30 years ago, but I have been photographing most of my life. I always joke that I was born with a camera in my hand. The natural world around me draws me in and invites me to capture those images either with a brush or a lens. Over the past six years my focus has been on wildlife, particularly birds. The wetlands call to me about three days a week, and I answer with early morning drives to capture those moments the birds and animals are just waking up. Joining the Wasatch Camera Club has helped me gain more of a focus on my photography skills and I love the various challenges that are offered.
