A second request this month from the publishers of Utah Life ... see below and maybe there is an opportunity for you!
Good Afternoon Photogs,
Apologies for two emails this month but we are trying to get ahead in planning our fall/winter issues and I wanted to put out an additional call for a few more themes.
We are looking for:
- More fall photo spots – where are your favorite places to see the leaves?
- Ice Castles of Midway
- Winter camping
- Desert Creatures – scorpions, gila monster, desert bighorn, tarantula, kit fox, roadrunner (just to name a few)
- Photo Essays- if you have a set of imagery from a favorite area/subject, please send them in (bonus if there’s a photo or two with people)
- Winter sports – thinking outside the box from skiing and snowboarding, but open to all winter sports in Utah
- Rock Climbing – favorite spots, ideally showcasing the area + variety of people that enjoy climbing
- Monumental Exposure- submit your best photo for a chance to win the photo contest
- Sept/Oct – “Fall Adventure”
- Nov/Dec – “Winter Wonderland”
- Jan/Feb – “Timelapse”
To submit, please send low-resolution preview images to me by email, by file sharing site like Dropbox/Google Drive/WeTransfer links to online galleries are ideal.
If you have any questions about delivery methods, please don’t hesitate to contact me. If chosen for the magazine, we’ll ask for high resolution digital copies of images for publication. We pay for any images used. Please visit: https://coloradolifemagazine.com/contribute/ for our terms if you wish to know more.
Note: The website is being updated, so please send submissions to me at
As always, if you have suggestions for stories that Utah Life Magazine should cover, or ideas for projects that you would like to photograph for us, we’d love to hear your story queries and pitches. Thank you once again and we look forward to seeing your photos!
Keep the photos coming and happy shooting!
Best,
