Shooting the Perseid Meteor Shower

Next week the Perseids come to town. This yearly meteor shower peaks the night of 11-August / early morning of 12-August. If you have never attempted this kind of nightsky photography and are curious and willing to give it a go, check out this great, just off the press, long, but detail-rich instructional video by Ian Norman of Lonely Speck and Rafael Pons of PhotoPills. You'll learn a lot about starry night photography as well as about to use PhotoPills. Ian covers planning, prepping, shooting and processing in easy to absorb language.

Enjoy and happy shooting!
