Hvitserkur Iceland (a Subjective Narrative on Traveling in Iceland)

Dawn Griffith is a a board member for Wasatch Camera Club and avid photographer. When the opportunity to travel to Iceland with some friends showed up in early 2022, she and her husband jumped at the chance to go with them. Northern Lights had been on her bucket list for years. In recent years, Iceland has become a more popular travel destination for so many reasons. This presentation will take you on a week-long journey around Iceland. She will include some important tips on preparing to travel to Iceland and what she learned and enjoyed while on her trip. She will share photographs from the various regions she explored and important information that would make the trip to Iceland a bit easier (what she wishes she had known). This trip was one of her favorites and she is excited to share it with you.

 She will cover the following:

1. Preparation to travel to Iceland (itineraries, maps, van rentals, destinations )

2. Travel expectations

3. Weather information/time of year to travel in Iceland and why this matters

4. Regions in Iceland-the spots we hit in each (with photos)

5. Some A-Ha's that showed up while traveling in Iceland
