Printing and Framing Workshop
Description
Many people have 1000’s? 10’s of thousands? 100’s of thousands of images hiding on hard drives or in the cloud. Was the last picture you shared a tiny text image or on social media? How often do you and your family and friends gather around your computer to look at pictures?
It’s time to get those images into the light. Join us for a printing and framing workshop. Ray Taggart, owner of Pixels Foto and Frame in Sandy, will share how to get those images from hard drive to work of art. The options are limitless and sometimes overwhelming (and you don’t have to go it alone). Learn how to get your image ready to print, what media is available, and how to choose a frame that will do your image justice!
There is a sense of pride and accomplishment when you get an image framed. Framed images make wonderful personalized gifts (the holidays are coming). Share history from your family archive (old photos and negatives can be scanned). Get those creative juices flowing and create a work of art. Paper choices can set a mood and you can choose from metal, metallic paper, matte paper, luster paper, canvas acrylic, and more! Even cell phone images can be printed and framed.
***Bring to the workshop an 8x10 or 8x12 print and we will frame it with mat, glass and black frame during the workshop (finished size including mat will 11x14). Cost for material for the finished custom project will be $40, due at registration. If you would like, you can order the printing to be done at Pixels so that it will be ready when you arrive. There is a limit on how many can attend. You must be a member of the WCC. Registration is first come, first served and the deadline for registration is November 7th.
