This is one of our annual events and it is a great experience as it is different each and every year. We hope for ice as it is one of those warmer years so we may or may not have ice this year. Fingers Crossed! We always go to Utah Lake State Park. I will scout for this event ahead of time and keep registrants posted.

Bring very warm clothing and layers.

Tripods and Monopods

Micro-Spikes (if you want to walk on the ice)

Hot Liquids to warm you up

Also please note safety measures for frozen ice AND there will be an entry fee to get into the state park at the gate.

There is a fee to get into the state park. If you don’t have a pass the fees are as follows:

Winter (November – March):

  • $10 per vehicle
  • $5 per person walk-in

Restrooms:

  • Visitor Center restrooms and the CXT on the North Jetty will remain open year-round.
