When Adobe unveiled the new masking tools in Lightroom and Camera Raw, it felt like a standing ovation moment. With the latest updates, those tools have grown even smarter, faster, and more capable, transforming how we make local adjustments. Powerful? YES! – Intuitive? Not always. That’s where this workshop comes in. While together, we will break down Lightroom’s masking tools and turn them into a clear, repeatable workflow. We’ll start with the essentials: brushes, linear and radial gradients, luminance and color range masks, plus the AI-powered Subject, Sky, and Background selections. From there, we’ll explore how to combine and intersect masks for precise, creative control. We’ll wrap up with the newest People Masking tools, unlocking a whole new level of portrait refinement. **This class is taught by Randy Collier and will be held on Saturday, February 7th from 1:00 PM-4:00 PM at Ruth Vine Tyler Library at 8041S Wood Street in Midvale. The cost for the class is $49. Class size is limited; there will be a waitlist option. We are also offering a beginning Lightroom workshop on March 14th. More information can be found here.
