Meet Ray Taggart:
Ray was born, raised and is still happily living in Salt Lake City. For the past 21 years, Ray has co-owned and operated Pixels Foto and Frame in Sandy, UT.

Ray started in photography back in 1973 by taking high school photography classes. It wasn’t until 1999 and the advent of digital photography that Ray combined his passion for technology and love of photography that he started a career in the photography industry. Since that time, Ray has led photography excursions to China, Thailand, Nepal, Africa, Ireland, Alaska, England, Italy and Turkey and spent 7 days with 2 National Geographic photographers photographing Polar Bears in Hudson Bay, Canada. This last trip was Ray’s 18th trip to Africa.

Ray enjoys wildlife and sports photography the most, although he spent 2 “tortured” years as a wedding photographer. Ray was the team photographer for Real Salt Lake soccer from 2008 to 2018 and photographed the US Men’s Soccer team during their run-up to the 2016 Olympics. Ray photographed the US Short Track Speed Skating team, from the Olympic trials in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, across the US, and ending in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, which was the site of the 2010 Winter Olympics. Ray has photographed for the PGA, the International Skating Union and the Pro Bull Riders Association. He has also been fortunate enough to have private photo sessions with Jack Nicholas, Neil Diamond, Jay Leno, Andre Agassi, Bill Cosby, The Eagles, Jeff Foxworthy, Johnny Miller and others.
