Join us for a photographic exploration of Eureka, Utah, a historic mining town nestled in the East Tintic Mountains. Once one of the West’s richest mining districts, Eureka offers a wealth of photographic opportunities, from weathered brick buildings and historic storefronts to mining structures, machinery relics, and signs of a bygone era. We’ll spend the day wandering the town and surrounding areas, seeking out compelling compositions that capture the character, textures, and stories of Utah’s mining heritage. Subjects range from architectural details and industrial remnants to mountain landscapes that provide context for the region’s rich history. This outing is ideal for photographers interested in history, architecture, textures, details, and storytelling through images. Bring a wide-angle lens for buildings, a telephoto for isolating distant subjects, and a macro lens if you enjoy capturing rust, peeling paint, and other fascinating details. Whether you’re drawn to documentary-style photography, creative interpretations of decay, or simply enjoy discovering unique subjects with fellow photographers, Eureka offers a rewarding and memorable day of image-making. Meeting location, and schedule details will be provided upon registration. We are targeting shooting up through sunset. The way Eureka and some of the structures face it is ideal for that time of the day.  Also when you register a list of things to photograph on your way to Eureka will be provided as well. Please respect all no trespassing signs posted at some of the locations. They are there for our safety and well-being. Thank you in advance.
