You can spot Bald Eagles usually anytime during the winter months in Utah, and in several spots around the state, but Farmington Bay is one of the best places for viewing these huge birds. One great place to catch a glimpse of the Bald Eagles on Farmington Bay is the George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Wildlife Education Center. In addition, there is a large land strip that you can park on and take pictures with all of the local photographers that know about this spot as well. In February you can see them often as I have had very good luck during this timeframe. For further information here is a link to the site :https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/utah/hundreds-of-bald-eagles-farmington-bay-ut/

Our fieldtrip will start at 8am on Feb 12 and is open to all club members. Please register using the link above and registration will close at 8am on Feb 11. Bring the longest lens you own and monopod or tripod as well. Warm clothing advised as well!

We will meet in the parking lot at the George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Wildlife Education Center so see you then and there!
