Astrophotography Workshop Two Part Series (Beginner/Intermediate and Advanced)

This is our annual workshop for those of you interested in learning more about shooting the night sky. If you are already versed in this subject, there is a more advanced portion as well.

Where: Salt Lake City Public Library

210 S 400 E, Salt Lake City, UT 84111

6:00PM – 7:00PM Basic Astrophotography (Single Shot with 14mm to 24mm Lenses)

  • In this section of the class Ryan will address single shot exposure techniques. He will discuss basic equipment needed for introduction into milky way photography and easily accessible free software for processing.

7:10PM – 8:30PM Advanced Astrophotography (Tracking, Stacking, Calibration and Processing with 50mm to 400mm lenses)

  • Feel free to bring a tracker if you have one and want to know how to use it to the full capacity.

Field Trip: July 11th Lone Rock from 6pm until 11pm unless you want to stay longer. The Milky Way Core comes up from 9pm until 1am this day. Please see further details under “Day Trips” on the Wasatch Camera Club Website
