Action Photography – the Two Most Critical Elements
Sixteen years ago, Dave Argyle went to the local high school to get some photos of his daughter who had just made the track team. A few years later his daughter graduated and moved on, but Dave never did. He had fallen in love with sports photography. In the years since, as Dave continuously worked to improve, he discovered that his preferred approach to sports photography also worked for almost any type of photography in which the subject is moving and can’t stop to say “cheese”. This presentation will offer a quick overview of Dave’s approach, followed by a deeper look at two critical pieces of that approach, without which none of the rest matters.

Dave’s bio: Dave’s lifelong interest in photography began over fifty years ago as he learned from his father. During his career as an engineer, he continued to enjoy many types of photographic projects. Soon after the arrival of digital cameras he started his own photography business, specializing in sports and action photography. Since then, he has also worked with numerous news agencies and companies, both local and national. In recent years, he has discovered a love for passing on what he has learned to others.
